History
Cortes of Palm Beach was founded in the early 80’s by Don Guillermo Cortes to provide services to prestigious jewelry stores on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach. It is a family business that has transcended generations, through knowledge and expertise of the jewelry industry.
Doing business since 1984
Guillermo Cortes left his native county of Colombia in 1972 in search of new opportunities, re-launching his career as a jeweler in New York. Soon the family arrived in Palm Beach where Cortes quickly becomes a recognized designer and jeweler working for well known companies such as Jewel Masters and Kimberly Ltd. Eventually Cortes opens his own repair and design shop on Peruvian Avenue (one block north of Worth Avenue) with the cooperation of his sons Guillermo Jr. (Memo), Guillermo Antonio Cortes and his nephew Gerardo Santacruz. The business has grown over the years and although Cortes is semi-retired the legacy continues as he still participates in the design process.
Cortes of Palm Beach, Inc. is a local treasure of the Island, comprised of a store front with all your retail needs and a full repair shop under the management of Antonio Cortes, who followed his father’s footsteps and becoming a staple in the jewelry industry of Palm Beach.
